Girls Can Do Anything!!

This is just a simple card I'm posting today. I used Emelia, who is actually a pilot. She's one of a recent release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and she comes with a little plane accessory stamp, which I didn't use this time, but it's so cute.

I'm not sure what the patterned papers are, but I love them. As is often the case, I scrounged them from my DD Kraftin' Kimmie. It was nice to do an easy card for a change, although I like the challenging ones too. There isn't much to explain about this one, I used my Copics as usual and I sponged around Emelia with some chalk ink. The card base and matted green papers are Bazzill.

I am keeping in touch with my Kimmie and family as they are having a much needed vacation this week in Florida. Because of this, the Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge is extended for another week, so if you haven't participated yet, you still have lots of time. The present challenge is to use eyelets on your card. Not too hard, right? The hardest part for most of us is finding them as I think a lot of us have gone on to so many new embellishments that we have forgotten about our poor old faithful eyelets. If you do make a card and you upload it to somewhere like Splitcoast, be sure to put KKSC22 in your keywords so that we can check out your creations.

Well, have a great day and may the Lord bless you greatly,

Diana

Time for another Challenge!

Hello all you stampers out there! It's Saturday again and you know what that means. Another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge. No. 22, to be exact. This week our insanely talented and creative Michele wants us to use eyelets on our cards. If you go to Michele's blog or Kimmie's Challenge Blog, you will see what I mean. Her creation for this challenge blew me away. How this girl comes up with these ideas, I don't know.

So come on girls, we all have them and in fact I know that some of us haven't used them in so long, we are finding them where we didn't know we had them. Actually I love eyelets, but for some reason I forget about them these days. There was a time when I put them on almost every card, but I think with the emergence of brads, I got lazy and now I reach for them all the time.

For my card, I used Gone Fishin', one of the many cute Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps created by the amazing Crissy Armstrong. I just love this. The image comes with the accessory stamp 'Gone Fishin', but I decided to use 'It's Your Day', from the Everyday Sentiments, also by Kraftin' Kimmie. I stitched the background DP onto the So Saffron card base, then stitched a strip of DP down the left side, coloured the image with my Copics and stitched it onto the DP. I added a Pinking Circle of So Saffron in the corner of the main layer, added some S.S. eyelets to the green strip and threaded some hemp twine through the eyelets and tied it. Then I stamped the sentiment on Bashful Blue and cut it out with my Modern Labels punch. I thought it would make a cute birthday card for a boy.

So go ahead girls, pull out those lonely eyelets and your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get inspired. First though, go to Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog and check out what all the Krafty Girls have to inspire you. Then let's see what you have for us to ogle over by linking it to the Challenge Blog. If you put your creations on Splitcoast, be sure to put KKSC22 in your keywords so that we can all go and see them.

Have a great weekend, see you again soon.

Blessings,
Diana

Lucy and Ricky's Anniversary!

Well, it's Monday evening and I'm going to post this card finally. I made it for a couple in England and I had to wait until I was sure they had it as they do sometimes check out my blog.

I have lived in Canada for 42 years now and these folks are friends I knew before I ever emigrated with my husband. We are all from the same village, in fact Ray and I lived next door to each other. I went to school with Joan and she was a couple of years ahead of me. I will always be grateful to Joan as she gave me typing lessons when I was about 13 or 14. I still remember going to her house, she tried to teach me shorthand also, but I didn't do nearly as well at that. Anyway, Joan and Ray have been married for 45 years now and we 'found' each other again due to my cousin, who went to visit them and gave me their address about 9 or 10 years ago, I think. We have been emailing back and forth ever since, as well as talking on the phone once in a while. It's wonderful to rediscover a friendship. Anyway, if you read this Ray and Joan, I hope you had a wonderful Anniversary.

Now to the card. I used 'Lucy and Ricky' one of the last release of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. I think these guys are so cute and I was happy to have an excuse to use the stamp. I'm going to have to put my thinking cap on as I sent it a while ago and I didn't write down what I used.

Of course I coloured those little guys with my Copics and I used S.U. Bella Birds DP and matched it with Going Gray and Pink Pirouette cardstock. I did some stitching on this card, which I love to do, added some Prima Flowers and some Pink Pirouette Ribbon and tied a heart charm on it.

Well, that's it for today, think I'm going to go and mount some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps that I already have for next month's release!! I'm not a tease or anything, but they are FABULOUS.
I can't wait to start creating with them. Tee Hee!!

I'll be back soon,
Blessings,
Diana

Hooray, it's March Release Day and Blog Hop too!!

Hi to everyone out there, hope you haven't been having the rotten grotty weather we have been having, lots of rain and no sun!! Still, we had a few beautiful days before this, so we are very blessed.

Anyway, enough rambling, it's time for Kraftin' Kimmie's March Release. All of the wonderful images we've been showing you since Thursday are now available at Kimmie's Store. Today I wanted to showcase 'Let's Do Lunch, which is the name of this super cute stamp. It comes with two sentiment stamps, one of which is 'Let's Do Lunch' and the other is 'You're So Sweet', which is the one I used on my card. This is a Cindy and Mindy stamp, created by Jean Grant, I love these images.

Now it's time to get you moving on the Blog Hop. If you have just happened on here, you do need to go back to Kimmie's Challenge Blog as that's where the hop starts. If you have landed here from the Mega-talented Michele, then you are in the right place. To continue your happy hopping, you will go to the equally talented Elaine. Be sure to leave a comment on all our blogs along the way as you will then be in the running to win some free stamps.

Have fun and I pray for God's blessing on all of you who pass through here.

Previewing Babette and Saturday Challenge!

Hi and Happy Saturday everyone!! Today is our Saturday Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge and this week our totally talented Tara wants us all to use beads on our creations. Now I love beads, but I don't use them very often as I don't think of it. Now Tara has inspired me, perhaps I'll remember to use them more in future.

For my card I used Babette, another of the sassy dancing girls from the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release. These lovely ladies are illustrated by our awesome artist Annie Rodrigue. I coloured Babette using my Copics and matted her onto Regal Rose. I have been at my DD Kimmie's for the past few days, so I got to use her stuff. I used some of her gorgeous DCWV Glitter Stack patterned paper. Actually I started the card at her house, then brought it home this afternoon and finished it just now, so I used my own Certainly Celery ribbon and some cute little Prima Flowers. I used the accessory sentiment stamp that comes with Babette and it says 'Wanna Dance?' Now you may have to look hard, but I used some green micro beads on her fan. I don't have a big assortment of beads and this green worked the best with my image.

So now be sure to check out all the other Krafty Girl's Blogs and see who they are showing today and what they have done with their beads, then get cracking and show us what you come up with using beads. One lucky lady will win the Victoria stamp and accessory stamp as that's what Tara is using on her gorgeous card.

Make sure you come back on Sunday for the March Release Day and Blog Hop. Be sure to leave comments on all the Krafty Girls Blogs for that day as there are prizes to be won and the more comments you leave, the better your chances for winning, right?

Have a great day,
Diana

Preview 2 of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps March Release

Well, I said I'd be back today with another Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps preview card. This time I'm showing one of Annie Rodrigue's fabulous images and there are more. This is Vivienne and she's a sassy little character, don't you think? I just love her feathers, they are fun to colour.

I used Barely Banana for the card base and I used Basic Grey's Lemonade papers to mat onto the base. I coloured Vivienne with my Copics and once again I borrowed my DD Kimmie's new Nesties to cut her out. I added some C. Celery ribbon and some lovely Prima Caboodles, once again from Kimmie's stash as I'm up here staying with her for a few days. I added the sentiment 'Strut Your Stuff', which comes with Vivienne along with another sentiment, 'Shake Your Tail Feathers'.

Be sure and check out the other Krafty Girls blogs, they have some awesome creations to show you and keep checking back in with us all for more previews before the big release and blog hop on Sunday!!

Have a wonderful day,
Diana

Pajama Party!!! ....with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Hello all you stampers out there! Can you believe it's almost time for another release?!! On Sunday, Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps will have the March Release up and ready to go! We Krafty Girls have been busy little beavers as we will have cards for you to see every day until Sunday, when we will have another fun Blog Hop! As usual, some lucky lady will win free stamps just for leaving a comment on our blogs, so make sure you leave a comment on all our blogs for more chances to win!

The new stamps are fabulous, they just keep getting better and better with each release. We have new images from all three of our amazing artists and you are going to love them! I sure do and they are great fun to play with.

For today's card I used Pajama Party starring Cindy and Mindy. This stamp was illustrated by the very talented Jean Grant. It comes with the sentiment stamp 'Pajama Party'. I used Bashful Blue for the card base and used some yummy Spring Glitter Stack papers by DCWV. I matted a square of one pattern onto some Apricot Appeal, then onto the card base. I added a strip of a coordinating pattern across the front, matted onto some more Bashful Blue with a punched border along the bottom. I borrowed my DD Kimmie's new set of Nesties to cut out Cindy and Mindy after colouring them with Copics and sponging around them with Bashful Blue chalk ink. I finished it off with some Certainly Celery GG Ribbon and some Prima flowers.

Be sure to check all the other Krafty Girls Blogs (the links are in my sidebar) and see what they have created. And come back again tomorrow to see what we have come up with again.

Blessings,
Diana

Yippee, Krafty Blog Hop!

Okay, so today we are having a Blog Hop! First I'll tell you a little bit about my card. We have revealed all of the Spring Kit images and Accessories, but I have to admit that I didn't get to use all of the accessories on my cards. Sometimes you run out of room or they just don't work with your design. Soooo, I decided to showcase all of them on one card. I had great fun colouring them and I set them on little Blossom Nesties, the second smallest size. I wanted some contrast to the black and white DP I was using, which is DCWV Glitter paper. I'm using that a lot lately, it's all so sparkly and pretty. I also used my brand new Modern Labels Punch, which I know is going to come in so handy. I put some organdy ribbon across the middle and made a bow with my bowmaker, I love that thing! Of course I made this card wide as I wanted to do something different. I haven't made this size of card for years. I made it to fit a 4 x 9 1/2 envelope.

Anyway, back to our fabby blog hop! If you haven't started at Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog, then you might want to go there and start the hop. If you have come here from the uber talented Jeanne's Blog, then you are in the right place. From here, your next stop is the Vivacious Vicki's Blog, where I'm sure she has something wonderful to show you. Make sure to leave a comment at each stop along the way as two lucky ladies will win stamps from the Spring Kit, which is available right now at Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps, for a limited time and is discounted 10%. They are going fast too.

Well, happy blog hopping girls,

Blessings to you and your families,
Diana

Last Spring Kit Cutie and Saturday Challenge!!

Good day ladies,

I'd like you to meet our last sweet image from the Kraftin' Kimmie's Spring Kit! This is Gabrielle and I think she's just too cute in her lovely dress with the ruffled petticoats and the card thingies on the skirt. (Sorry, I just can't think of what you call them collectively. Somebody enlighten me, I mean I know they are spades, hearts etc., but there must be a name for them!!)

Anyway, I also made this card for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #20. Our fearless leader Kimmie is the hostess for this week and she wants us to use old papers and embellishments from our stash, nothing new. I didn't have a problem with this as I have lots of stuff that I've had for a long time. The DP is Bali Breeze from Stampin' Up. I'm not sure exactly how old it is, but it's a few years. I'm sure any of you S.U. demonstrators or former demos will attest to that. The ribbon is Baja Breeze, also from S.U. and it was one of the In Colours maybe last year or the year before. Also my flowers have been hangin' about for years too. Hey, I do use the stuff, but it takes a long time to get through it!!

Anyway, to get back to the card, I coloured Gabrielle and cut her out, then put her on an oval of the Bali Breeze DP, then set it on a scalloped frame of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I also used the accessory stamp, which is a little cup of tea (or coffee or whatever you want it to be). I used my Circle Nesties for it and the smallest Nestie Scalloped Circle in Regal Rose. I pop dotted both the main image layer and the teacup one. I added a little shoe charm to the BB ribbon and put a little sparkle on Gabrielle's hairband and the hearts etc. on her skirt. I used the sentiment 'You're Tea-riffic' from the Tea Sentiments, also on Pumpkin Pie.

Be sure to check out all the Krafty Girls Blogs to see what they have done with Giselle, then go to Kimmie's Challenge Blog tomorrow to join in our fun Blog Hop. At least one somebody will be winning stamps, not quite sure of those details yet.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie's Spring Kit Day 4. Lisette!!

Well, here we are, back again as promised with another awesome Kraftin' Kimmie's Tea Party character! Today we are featuring Lisette. I just love her outfit! Lisette is eating some yummy cake and so she comes with an accessory stamp of a cute cake. I wanted to use it, but once again I felt I had enough on the card without adding more!

I used some matching DP from the DCWV Glitter Stack. I love those papers. I like to sew on my cards, but I have never done this much on a card before. I used my Curved Rectangle Nesties to put Lisette on and then matted her on a larger one in Lavender Lace. I put the sentiment on Bashful Blue to match the card base. Of course the sentiment is from the either the Coffee Sentiments set or the Tea ones, I've forgotten which now.

I hope you like Lisette, I think she is my favourite. Make sure you check out all the other Krafty Girls blogs and come back tomorrow for the revealing of the final image, then on Sunday be sure to join us for a fabulous blog hop featuring our favourites from this kit.

Have a great weekend,

Blessings,
Diana

Handsome Henri! 3rd. Spring Kit Sample

Welcome to day 3 of the Kraftin' Kimmie Spring Kit reveals. This is Henri, isn't he just dapper? I love him, it's great to have another masculine stamp, he can be used so many ways. It was fun to colour him to match my papers. I have to confess I don't know what they are as I scrounged them from my sweet and generous daughter while I was at her house a week or so ago. I thought they were great for a masculine card.

The base is Chocolate Chip and the squares are all matted onto Always Artichoke. Henri was of course coloured with Copics and I matted him onto Baja Breeze, then Chocolate Chip. I made the tag with my new Tags Trio (well, one of them) from Spellbinders. The sentiment is from the Tea Sentiments, which of course come with the kit, along with the Coffee Sentiments and of course, the 5 main image stamps and accessory stamps.

Don't forget, the kits are only available at Kraftin' Kimmie's Store and for a limited time. Make sure you check out the Henri creations that all the other girls have made for your viewing pleasure. See you back here tomorrow for yet another image from this amazing set.

Have a great day,
Diana

Isn't she adorable? This is Giselle and she is the second member of Kraftin' Kimmie's Spring Kit! I just love her outfit, don't you? She is carrying a teapot and the accessory stamp she comes with, is of a cute little teapot. I wanted to use it, but I kind of ran out of room!!

As I mentioned yesterday, the Spring Kit is only available from Kraftin' Kimmie's store and Kim has it on sale for 10% off, so it's a great deal. 5 main images and believe me, they are all just as adorable as Nadine and Giselle. Of course there are also the 2 sets of sentiments, one all tea sayings and the other set is all coffee ones. At some point Kimmie may make some of the stamps available individually, but for now they all come in the kit. I know all we Krafty Girls have had a lot of fun playing with them.

I won't bore you with the details of how this card was made, you can see I used my one set of Nesties, for all the pieces, it was fun to just use several different sizes on one card.

Make sure you visit all the other Krafty Girls Blogs and see what they have done with Giselle, then come back tomorrow and see who else we have to show you.

Have a blessed day,
Diana
