Something Old and Something New! At Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Hi to all you stamping folks out there!  It's Saturday again, I can't believe the week has gone by already.  This week our Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps hostess is the lovely and so talented Sharon Caudle.  She would like us to use something on our card that is at least a year old and something that is brand new.

I am using one of the very adorable dinosaurs in the Cute a Saurus set.  I can't wait to use the other two.  I used white as my card base and the frame around the dino is Chocolate Chip and so is the matting around the patterned papers and the strip along the bottom.  The papers are MME Lime Twist, which I have had much longer than a year.  I've also had my heart punches for much longer and my Circle Heart Nesties are at least a couple of years old.  For my new, I have used some yummy brown S.U. brads which were given to me for Christmas by one of my design team sisters, Kerry Johnson.  There are several other colours, which I haven't used yet.  I love them, Kerry, thanks again!!  I added some brown and white Baker's Twine and a heart charm, which was silver, so I covered it with orange stickles.

So now Sharon would like you to create a card or whatever using something old and something new.   She has used the new Gamer Girl on her creation, so that's what you will receive if you are the lucky winner.  So come on, let's see what ya got!

Also be sure to check out Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge Blog to see the 6 stamps she had put on sale today as her Frugal Friday Specials.

Have a wonderful weekend,
Diana

Oh Baby! From Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Good morning to all you krafty peeps out there.  I know it's very unusual for me to post on a Monday, but I have a card I'd like to share.  I made it for a very dear young friend and her husband who recently had a beautiful baby girl named Claire.

I'm using the lovely set of stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps called 'Oh Baby!'  Don't you just love this little sweetheart?  I kept the colours very soft and pastel on this one, somehow it seemed very appropriate for our sweet Alecia (the mom).  I used a base of Pretty in Pink and used it also on the strip near the bottom of the card.  The papers I used are Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl by K & Company.  I framed the image layer and matted the papers using Barely Banana, which is retired now, I don't know what I'll do when it's all gone, I love that shade.  I used some Pretty in Pink GG Ribbon across the strip, stamped 'Oh Baby' using my Modern Labels Window punch, I also added a scroll type die cut and added some pink pearls here and there.  I hope you like it, I loved making it.

Be sure to go over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps shop and see the gorgeous new January Release, you will be glad you did.  There is a set of robots which are hilarious, you will see one of them a couple of posts down here, then there are Nerds and Geeks, which are amazing. My favourite is Computer Nerd, you can see him on my second last post.  Then there is an adorable set of Lexi and Lucas stamps called 'Sweet Dreams'.  I have used one of them on my last post.  They are just too cute for words.  To top it off we have a new set of Handmade Trinkets, they are fabulous.  You can used them for so many things.  There is one to put on your baking gifts, there are a couple that are great for teens.  Well, I guess I should stop, why don't you go and see for yourself if I'm not right?!!

Have a wonderful day, hope you find some time to craft.

I'll see you here again soon,
Blessings,
Diana

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge! Anything Goes!! Previewing Nerds and Geeks!

Well, Hello and Happy Saturday to all you krafty gals out there.  So, not only are we previewing the Kraftin' Kimmie 'Nerds and Geeks' today, but it's also time for a new challenge and this week it's 'Anything Goes'.

Today's fantastic images were created by our awesome Annie Rodrigue and she has done a set of  stamps that include Gamer Girl, Astro Boy, Bookworm, Lab Geek, Robot Boy and Computer Nerd.

I have used the Computer Nerd for my card.  I just love this one, especially as it makes me think of Kimmie's hubby Al, who is very much into computers.  In honour of Al, I have coloured his hair red as my son-in-law is a redhead.  Not quite that red, I must admit, but red anyway.  I also used the sentiment 'Talk Nerdy To Me', which comes along with this stamp. Don't you just love it?!

I used some patterned papers that I've had for a long time and in fact, I think it's a pack that Kim and I split and I don't have the name of it.  It's pretty simple, I used Chocolate Chip for the card base, some Marigold Morning for matting and also some Wild Wasabi to frame the image.  I added some brown metallic brads at the top and that's it.

Just wait 'til you see all the FUN creations by the Krafty Girls and Guests featuring Astro Boy, Bookworm, Computer Nerd, Gamer Girl, Lab Geek and Robot Boy!! It's another incredibly fun release!! You will D.I.E.!!

Check out all the amazing creations on today's hop in combination with this week's challenge!! The lovely JENNY is our hostess this week and her challenge is ANYTHING GOES!! We want EVERYONE to play along and have a chance to win the new GAMER GIRL, as featured on Jenny's gorgeous creation!! We really hope you are inspired by this week's challenge and share your inky creations!!! We SO enjoy seeing your beautiful designs inspired by our challenges!

Below you will find all the Krafty Girls and Guests who have goodies to show you today and while you're visiting their blogs, be sure to leave some love at each stop because TWO lucky stampers are each going to WIN a package of today's stamps!! Woohoo!!!

Happy hoppin'!!

Batteries Not Included! From Kraftin' Kimmie!

So here we are again with yet another set of previews for you from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  Today we are showing a set of adorable robots from the uber talented Emilie Goulet.  I chose to make a card using the Flying Bot.  Doesn't he have a winning smile?  He was fun to colour with my trusty Copics and I set him on an angle as I like the way he fit on the cardstock.  I used a base of Certainly Celery, on which I matted a piece of Tangerine Tango and I used the same colours for the frame around my image.  The papers I used are Lush Collection from Kaisercraft.  I stitched with orange thread around the outside and around the frame.  I love sewing on my cards and now that I have my sewing machine in my newly built craftroom, (yippee!!) hopefully I will sew a lot more.  I used the sentiment 'Bots of Love', which is one of six awesome sentiments that come with the set.  I finished up with three orange buttons from my stash and threaded the large one with a little linen thread.
Make sure you check out what all the other girls have done with these adorable robots.

I'll be back tomorrow with another preview, so stay tuned.

Happy Stampin'
